Police: $500K In Credit Cards, Jewelry Stolen From Cheviot Hills Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking the public's help in solving a burglary earlier this year at a Cheviot Hills home.

The burglary occurred on May 12 at a home located along the 3000 block of Earlmar Drive, where the suspect or suspects entered the victim's residence by prying open French doors at the rear of the house, according to police.

The suspects stole the victim's property which included credit cards and jewelry valued at $500,000 and fled from the residence, police said.

One of the suspects was later identified by video footage as he attempted to use the stolen credit cards at two Orange County locations, according to police.

He is described as a white or Hispanic male about 5'5" tall, 150 lbs., with dark hair. In one of the videos, the suspect is wearing a dark long sleeved shirt, dark pants and blue shoes. In the second video, the suspect is wearing a brown coat that is white on the inside, blue shirt, dark pants and tan boots.
