Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 3)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — The storm certainly lived up to the hype with rainfall totals well over an inch — close to two inches in most basin locations. Mountains saw rainfall totals upwards of four to five inches.

It looks like the widespread rain and worst of the heavy downpours have moved on. However, Wednesday will still be unsettled. Expect widespread scattered showers through the day.

Just about everybody has a shot at getting wet through the day for a short period. Totals though will not be as dynamic as they were Tuesday; however, foothill and mountain communities could very well see a lot more rain.

The enhanced lift will increase not only rainfall totals Wednesday, but also the rainfall rates. For this reason, the Flash Flood Watches have been extended. Burn areas in all of the counties are especially in jeopardy with the saturated ground already.

Shower chances will diminish overnight and early Thursday. It looks like Thursday will be a dry day with mostly cloudy skies.

There is another trough that could bring a sprinkle late Friday into early Saturday morning, then we are looking at a dry forecast into next week.
