Police Seek Man Accused In Stabbing Murder At Pomona Motel

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding a murder Sunday that took place at a motel in Pomona last night.

According to the Pomona Police Department, officers were sent around 8:40 p.m. Saturday to Motel 6, located in the 2400 block of South Garey Avenue, after receiving an emergency call reporting a disturbance in one of the rooms.

Once on scene, officers found a Hispanic female, around the age of 35-years-old, suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department attempted to save the victim's life, but were unsuccessful.

Firefighters said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Detectives only described the suspect as an adult male.

No further description was provided for the suspect or vehicle.
