Bring Toy Donation And Get Free Entrance To Classic Car Show In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Classic car enthusiasts won't want to miss a show in Carson Saturday that features some rare models and also benefits CHiPs for Kids.

More than 400 of these collectibles will be on display from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m. at Back in the Day Classics, located at 21126 Avalon Boulevard, near the 405 Freeway. And some will be up for sale.

Admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped, unopened gift worth at least $20 for a child in need.

It's the second year the CHP has paired up with the car lot to bring in donations for the law agency's CHiPs for Kids toy drive.

The CHP collected nearly 80,000 toys in 2013 and more than 60,000 the year prior, CHP Officer Erick Sumner said.

Sumner said not to forget the teen recipients: "A gift card for those kids for Walmart, Target, that would really help them out."
