Man, 40, Accused Of Sex Act With Underage Boy He Met Through Grindr

FOUNTAIN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of engaging in a sex act with an underage boy investigators believe he met through Grindr, police said Wednesday.

Shane Atilano Remollo, of Huntington Beach, was being held on $50,000, according to Orange County jail records. He listed his occupation as bank teller.

Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, police checking on an occupied car in Harper Park, 8675 Bluebird Ave., found Remollo inside the vehicle with the boy, whose age was not released, performing oral sex on the boy, Fountain Valley police Sgt. Ron Varner said.

Investigators suspect the two met through the gay dating app Grindr and arranged to meet at the park, according to Varner.

Remollo was booked on suspicion of oral copulation with a minor and solicitation of a minor, Varner said.
