Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 25)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — "I've seen fire (weather) and I've seen rain."  That's a nod to James Taylor and the forecast. Let's start with the dry high fire danger.

Red flag warnings are still in effect through Wednesday. There are also wind advisories; however the winds are barely in advisory territory right now.

The off-shore flow combined with a ridge of high pressure that is bumping in from the Eastern Pacific will keep temperatures well above average for the next couple of days. Expect temperatures into the 80s.

By Friday, look for a decent cool down into the weekend with the return of the on-shore flow.

By Sunday, an area of low pressure and a trough will bring a threat of rain. Right now, this storm looks like it has the decent potential to bring some moderate rainfall to the area.

The timing and strength of the storm is still a bit in question. But be prepared for rain starting Sunday evening through Tuesday afternoon. There will be some more details in the next day or two.
