Tree Falls Onto Roof Of Highland Park Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A large tree fell that fell onto the roof of a Highland Park home startled residents Sunday morning.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the tree fell onto a home located in the area of Armadale Avenue and Lincoln Avenue overnight.

Residents explained to KCAL9's Joy Benedict that they don't feel the crash is wind related.

Luckily, the largest portion of the tree missed the home and landed on a fence, which was recently replaced by the homeowner.

Neighbors also speculated if the tree was healthy as it appeared to have a form of root damage.

Benedict explained that the city will be held responsible for the removal of the tree as it was planted on the sidewalk.

No injuries were reported.
