WeHo Woman Sues Apple After iPad Ignites

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A West Hollywood woman is suing Apple after she suffered injuries when her iPad caught fire.

Valerie Miller filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday for negligence/products liability.

Miller claims her iPad caught fire while she was using it at her apartment on Dec. 23, 2013.

She received medical treatment and lost earnings as a result of her injuries, the suit stated.

The lawsuit sought unspecified damages.

Apple has yet to respond to the allegations.
