3 Men Wanted In El Segundo Street Robbery
EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were looking for three suspects wanted for robbing and harassing several South Bay residents at gunpoint.
The robbery happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday outside an apartment complex in the 300 block of Standard Street, the El Segundo Police Department said.
The suspects pointed a rifle at the male victim and demanded his iPhone and wallet before fleeing the scene in a large older-model beige SUV.
"The victim identified three suspects in the vehicle as male Hispanics, 20-30 years old, one of them 'stocky'," police said.
Just prior to the robbery, three other people reported to police that they had been assaulted in the 300 block of Eucalyptus Drive.
Those suspects were also described at Hispanic men riding in a 2007-2009 champagne-colored Chevy Tahoe.
"The vehicle stopped in front of the victims and a suspect pointed a black rifle at them while asking if they were gang members," officials said.
No injuries were reported.
