Bicyclist, 73, Remains Hospitalized In Grave Condition Following O.C. Collision

ORANGE COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public's help Saturday for information regarding a vehicle versus bicyclist collision in Laguna Woods.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent around 5:57 a.m. to the Moulton Parkway near Santa Maria.

Deputies explained a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Honda Civic and 73-year-old bicyclist were traveling Southbound on the parkway when the collision occurred.

The driver reportedly stopped and called 911, while rendering aide to the male victim until paramedics and deputies arrived to the scene.

The bicyclist was then transported to a hospital, where he remains in grave condition.

Detectives said they do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor on part of the driver.
