Hundreds Mourn 2 Killed In Hemet Rollover Crash

HEMET (CBSLA.com) — Two young men killed in a car crash this weekend were remembered Monday during a vigil attended by hundreds of people at West Valley High School.

Andre Vega, 18, and 20-year-old Christian Griffith were killed Saturday night when their sport utility vehicle rolled over on Domenigoni Parkway. Four others in the car were injured.

Griffith was a graduate of West Valley High and a former choir member. Vega was a senior at the school.

"We have a choir who's chosen to do a number," Alex Ballard, West Valley High School principal, said. "Christian Griffith was a very well-known respected member of the choir and our drama department."

Ballard said the choir number was in honor of both victims.

Meantime, the Hemet Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the possibility of speeding as a factor.

Alcohol or drugs are not suspected to have played a role in this crash at this time, according to KCAL9's Crystal Cruz.
