Pink's Hot Dogs Celebrates 75th Anniversary With 75-Cent Chili Dogs For 7 Days

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Pink's Hot Dogs in Hollywood is known for several things.

For starters, long lines and great chili dogs.

To celebrate its 75th anniversary at La Brea and Melrose, the famous hot dog stand is going to offer 75-cent hot dogs for 75 minutes for seven days, starting Friday.

Great! Longer lines! The promotion starts each night at 7 p.m.

City Council members Tom LaBonge, Mitch O'Farrell and Paul Koretz will join retiring county Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky to greet diners during Friday night's promotion kickoff.

Celebrity appearances are also planned; after all, the eatery is also known for naming its condiment-laced dogs after celebrity clientele. (You've never had the Al Roker!? The Martha Stewart or the Ryan Lochte?)

If you're lucky enough to get the low-priced chili dogs, there is also a limit of seven dogs per order.

Proceeds from the chili dog sales will be donated to a different charity each day.
