Nanny Arrested In Assault Of 1-Year-Old Twins Near Rialto

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (CBSLA.com) — A 34-year-old woman employed as a nanny was in custody Friday for allegedly assaulting two children while working at a home in the unincorporated area of Rialto.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Dana Cash of Yucaipa was arrested on Thursday for child cruelty.

Sheriff's deputies of the Fontana Station said they responded to a residence on Oct. 2 for a report of suspected child abuse.

Officials said Cash was employed as a nanny by the family to provide care for several children at the home.

A preliminary investigation revealed she physically assaulted a 1-year-old boy and girl who are twins.

As a result of the investigation, Cash was arrested by detectives at her home.

She was then booked into the West Valley Detention Center.

There are no other outstanding suspects at this time.
