Burbank Teenager Arrested In Threats Toward High School Online
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old student was arrested Thursday after online threats were discovered against a high school.
According to the Burbank Police Department, officers learned of the threats made against John Burroughs High School posted to Twitter around 7:40 p.m.
Police said they immediately conducted a follow up investigation and contacted the student at his residence in Burbank.
Officers are not releasing his name due to his age.
At this moment, there are no ongoing threats and the school administration has been cooperative during the investigation.
Authorities said they will determine whether the threats rose to the level of a crime and the school district may take administrative action against the student.
Officials said school will be in session Friday.
