Rialto Police Don Pink Patches To Raise Awareness For Breast Cancer

RIALTO (CBSLA.com)  —  Police in Rialto are sporting pink patches to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research.

The public can also get a patch by donating $20 to the fund.

Officials said 100 percent of the money raised goes to Michelle's Place at the Breast Cancer Resource Center.

"The statistics show that one in eight women are affected by breast cancer, so we all know there's people here at our police department, there's people in our city affected and we need to do our part to help raise money to help the research of breast cancer, so we decided to do this," said Rialto Police Public Information Officer Cpl. Cameron Nelson.
