Crews Contain Blaze At Redondo Beach Diner
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Crews tackled a commercial fire Saturday located at a popular diner in Redondo Beach.
According to officials, the fire broke out just after 2 a.m. at CJ's Pantry located in the 300 block of South Catalina Avenue.
Firefighters said the blaze appeared to have started in the kitchen area.
As a result, the diner sustained extensive damage as the structure was described as being pretty well engulfed in flames, authorities said.
According to officials, nearby businesses sustained water and smoke damage.
It was unclear how many firefighters were sent to the scene and what time the fire was extinguished.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
