'Swaggy P' Nick Young Could Be Out 6-8 Weeks With Injured Thumb
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Nick Young, who will be entering his second season with the Lakers, could be out 6-8 weeks with a torn radial collateral ligament on his right thumb.
The Laker guard underwent an MRI Friday after he injured his thumb in practice on Thursday, revealing the ligament tear on the thumb.
Orthopedic Dr. Steven Shin will perform the surgery on the thumb, Monday.
After the surgery, Dr. Shin will give a more accurate timetable on his return.
'Swaggy P' signed a four-year, $21.5 million deal with a player option on the fourth year.
