UCLA Police Seek Suspect In Off-Campus Sexual Battery

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — UCLA officials Wednesday reminded the campus community to be aware of their surroundings as they searched for a man in connection with an off-campus sexual battery.

The incident at the University South Apartments involved an unidentified woman whom authorities said was not a student at the school, UCLA police said in a department statement.

According to police, the woman was walking on Sepulveda Boulevard about noon on Tuesday when she was approached by the suspect who grabbed her.

Police said the suspect, described as a Black male with a slim build, fled southbound across Sepulveda towards Palms boulevards.

Police further said the suspect was believed to be between 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing a black hooded sweater with dark-colored sweatpants and colored sneakers.

Anyone with more information about this incident was asked to contact the UCLA Police Department at (310) 825-1491 and refer to Report No. 14-1827.
