Public's Help Needed Locating Missing 66-Year-Old Man Suffering From Dementia

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help locating a 66-year-old man reported missing in Los Angeles.

Fernando Escutia was last seen around 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 30 in the 800 block of North Genesee Avenue.

His family is especially concerned because Escutia suffers from dementia and diabetes and is in need of medical care.

He was described as Hispanic with gray hair and brown eyes. He's five feet seven inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

Anyone with information about this man's whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD Rampart Division at (213) 484-3400. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to (877) LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247). Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
