Huntington Beach Hit-And-Run Leaves Man In Serious Condition

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Tuesday continued to investigate a hit-and-run collision that left a 26-year-old pedestrian with serious injuries in Huntington Beach.

The collision happened about 1:35 a.m. Sunday, in the area of Beach Boulevard north of Warner Avenue, Huntington Beach police said in a statement.

When officers arrived, they found the victim in the roadway. He was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange in serious condition.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a newer model, gray pickup with a gray camper shell, according to a witness account. The vehicle likely sustained front-end damage, police said.

Although police have not released the victim's identity, they described him as a man from Woodland Hills.
