Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 26)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — After a warm stretch the past few days, things are cooling down. A big trough moving into the west coast will bring our temperatures down a bunch into the weekend.

Look for the marine layer to thicken up Saturday morning and Sunday as well. An upper level low will stall out up to the north with some waves of energy rotating around it. Those waves could be potent enough to squeeze some drizzle out of the marine layer Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Temperatures will most definitely be below average for the weekend. By next week, a ridge of high pressure over the Pacific will build. This will translate into some gusty winds and possibly a strong off-shore flow that will increase the fire danger in the middle of the week — so be on the look out for fire advisories then.
