Man Accused Of Stabbing Temecula Victim In Custody

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — An 18-year-old man was in custody Friday in the stabbing a male victim.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Cameron Brannon was arrested Thursday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

An officer from the Temecula Police Department responded to a reported stabbing in the 40100 block of Village Road just before 11:30 p.m., police said.

Once on the scene, officers said they were flagged down by an 18-year-old male victim suffering from a knife wound to his left arm.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, authorities said. His condition is unknown.

According to police, Brannon was located nearby and was taken into custody without incident.

It was unclear if the victim knew Brannon before the attack.

Brannon was booked at the Southwest Detention Center.
