Tree Splits In 2 On North Hollywood Street
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A huge tree split in two overnight Wednesday, blocking part of a San Fernando Valley street.
The 200-to-300-foot tree missed homes and cars as it came down around 1 a.m. in the 4400 block of Farmdale Avenue in North Hollywood.
No reports of injuries or damage.
Arborists will be on scene Wednesday to determine why the tree fell. Officials say age, disease and even heat stress could be factors.
