Police Hunting Phony Maids Working With Burglary Suspects In West Los Angeles

WEST LA (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities in West Los Angeles are looking for two women they say are posing as maids and working with burglary suspects.

The women knock on doors presumably seeking employment but police say if the homes are unoccupied they contact three male suspects who enter the residences.

Police on Friday released surveillance photos of the women and one of the men hoping the public can identify them.

The suspects are responsible for several burglaries in the West Los Angeles Area and surrounding Westside neighboring communities.

Detectives from the West Los Angeles Division believe the five were responsible for a burglary, also caught on tape, in Bel Air on August 29 around 3 p.m.

The suspects made off with cash, passports and electronic equipment.

The suspect vehicle is described as a 4-door white newer model Buick Enclave.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call West Los Angeles Burglary Detective Chavarria at (310) 444-1538.
