Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 9)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Things are mellowing out after a busy weekend and back to work Monday. Look for temperatures Tuesday to cool somewhat from Monday's highs; however, expect to see a general warming trend this week.

Look for highs to generally hover in the mid 80s, mid 90s inland through Thursday.

By the weekend, expect steamy conditions once again. Temperatures will be closer to 100, and by Sunday there will be the return of monsoonal moisture for mountains and deserts.

Right now, there's a disturbance brewing off the coast of Mexico. There is a 60 percent chance that this system will become named tropical storm Odile. However, this system could spell flash flooding for the desert southwest once again at some point next week.
