Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 8)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — After an unsettled weekend of thunderstorms for the Inland Empire, things won't be quite as active Monday. With tropical moisture overhead and an upper level low in the northern part of the state, there is the slight chance for a scattered shower for the first half of the day.

Monday afternoon with some heating in the deserts and mountain communities there is a chance for a thunderstorm. Expect some clouds in the forecast from the remnants of Hurricane Norbert and the weak frontal boundary that is passing across the state through Tuesday.

The rest of the week is pretty mellow with temperatures hovering near or just slightly below seasonal averages.

By next weekend, it looks like high pressure will build back in, so look for another warm weekend. According to the long range models, there is another tropical storm brewing in the Pacific, and the remnants of that system could play a role in the weather at the early part of next week.
