Man In His 50s Fatally Stabbed On Van Nuys Boulevard

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday said they were investigating a fatal stabbing in Van Nuys.

According to the Los Angeles County coroner's office, the incident occurred in the 6000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard.

The victim, described as a Latino male, was in his 50s.

Police were flagged down by a passerby around 4:40 a.m. who said a man was down near the intersection of Erwin Street and Van Nuys Boulevard.

The man's name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

The victim was stabbed repeatedly, police said.
