Inland Empire CHP Pursuit Of Speeding Suspect Ends Peacefully Off Westbound 60 Freeway
HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — California Highway Patrol chased a motorist on the westbound 60 Freeway Wednesday night in the Inland Empire.
Officers in Ontario first tried to initiate a traffic stop around 8:30 p.m. after they allegedly caught her speeding.
The Mercedes-Benz was registered to an address in Rowland Heights, which was where the driver seemed to be heading as she sped away from officers.
At 8:52 p.m., the driver got off the freeway in Hacienda Heights, stopped the car and stepped out of the vehicle without incident.
Police took the unidentified driver into custody.
