Police Investigating Rash Of Armed Robberies In Fullerton

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were trying to determine if seven armed robberies were linked in Orange County.

The most recent crime occurred Tuesday night on Crestview Drive in Fullerton where a resident was pushed and suffered a cut to his head, police said.

Authorities did not release details about the incident, but said the crime has similarities to six other robberies in the northwest portion of town.

Three other robberies occurred Sunday night on Avenida Selva and Trieste Way where the suspect entered homes through an open garage and demanded money before fleeing the scene, police said.

In all three instances, the suspect used a black hand gun to threaten his victims.

Detectives said they believe the same man may also be responsible for three street robberies that took place six weeks ago in the same area.

He is described as an Hispanic man, between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds.

At the time of the crimes, he was wearing a bandana and a gray pullover sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone with information should contact the Fullerton Police Department at (714)738-6753.
