LAGUNA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Dreaming of a cool breeze and an ocean view in Laguna Beach? It could be yours for just $150.

The Ocean Institute in Dana Point is kicking off its annual Million Dollar Home Raffle, and there are even more prizes up for grabs this year.

“We doubled our prizes this year in celebration of our 10th anniversary and on top of that, we are awarding a $1,000 winner each week for 10 weeks,” said Susan Goggin, founder of the institute’s Million Dollar Raffle.

More than 500 prizes include cars, dream vacations, shopping sprees, cash, and of course, a swanky Laguna Beach home worth $1 million.

Tickets cost $150 each and only 21,000 will be sold. The early bird deadline to enter is Thursday night at midnight, and 9,000 tickets have already been sold.

Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Ocean Institute and other nonprofit organizations like the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, the Wyland Foundation and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Since its inception in 2005, the raffle has awarded $11 million in prizes.

To enter, go to the Ocean Institute’s website or call (949) 542-3600.
