Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 18)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — After well above average temperatures, expect a bit of a cool down this work week for Southern California as an upper level low approaches the region.

The net result will be a thicker marine layer, cooler temperatures and the possibility of a little moisture even from that thickened cloud deck. Look for a healthy 4 or 5 degree drop in temperatures Monday with another few degrees dropping Tuesday.

The marine layer will continue to increase while it spreads inland. By Wednesday, that low will be almost directly over head. At this point, it looks like the low is pretty dry so don't expect anything more than just a little drizzle, however that may change.

The low will exit for the latter half of the work week. By next weekend, expect a warm up once again with temperatures running above average.
