VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — A Good Samaritan was seriously injured after being struck by two vehicles on the 101 Freeway overnight.

Police said the 25-year-old man pulled over on the southbound lanes of the thoroughfare to assist a driver after witnessing an accident.

He was then struck by a passing car, and was also run over by a second vehicle. It’s not known whether those two drivers stopped to assist him.

The accident happened overnight Sunday around 1 a.m. near the Telephone Road exit, police said.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in serious condition.
