Man Killed In Orange Garage Explosion

ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — A 47-year-old man has been killed in a garage explosion at his Orange County home, officials said Friday.

The explosion happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Oakmont Avenue in Orange, police said.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a detached garage damaged and a small fire.

"The garage door had been blown off the hinges and it was lying against the two vehicles parked in the driveway," neighbor John Pritchett said. "We could see inside, the man . . . was, I believe, on a couch, reclining, and he was completely burned."
