Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspect In Mid-City Parking Structure

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police were searching for an armed robbery suspect on Saturday in a Mid-City parking garage.

The LAPD said they were notified around 11:35 a.m. that two men carrying weapons had tried to rob a pedestrian and police set up a perimeter around the intersection of Pico and Hauser boulevards.

“They (the two suspects) got scared off and ran away. I’m not sure they completed the robbery,” LAPD Sgt. James Tomeo said.

A witness was able to track one of the suspects to a parking structure in the area.

“No shots were fired and no one was been injured,” said Tomeo, adding that the second suspect’s whereabouts were unclear.
