Officials: Parents Took 2-Year-Old Daughter After Custody Hearing

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An alert has been issued for a 2-year-old girl taken from a courtroom by her parents after her grandmother was granted temporary custody, officials reported.

Police say Mariah Salguero's parents, Christopher Salguero and Rosa Chairez, both 25, walked her out of a Superior Court hearing around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials say they may be headed to Arizona, where they have family.

Mariah Salguero was described as Latina, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.

Christopher Salguero is 5-foot-9 and 190 pounds.

Chairez is 5-foot-2 and about 150 pounds. She has red hair and brown eyes.

There was no vehicle description available.

Anyone with information about the girl's whereabouts was asked to call detectives at (213) 833-3750.
