STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Executive Chef Ray Martin and Owner Wing Lam of Wahoo’s Fish Taco joined us on KCAL9 Tuesday afternoon to cook up some new dishes from their summer menu.
Some of the new items the duo featured today are:
- Kale Kai Salad: organic baby Kale, mixed field greens, roasted corn and black bean salsa served with a choice of grilled chicken, fish, carne asada, carnitas, shrimp or Tofu. This salad is served with fresh pico de gallo, sprinkled with a chili lime spice, sliced avocado, crunchy tortilla strips with a choice of dressing.
- Fusion Street Tacos: corn tortilla with a choice of protein drizzled with Polynesian aioli that is topped with fresh cabbage slaw mix, roasted chili salsa and queso fresco.
- Wahoo’s Wings: tossed with a sweet hot chili glaze
- Mini Tostadas: crisp corn tortilla with smashed white beans, choice of protein, shredded mixed greens, pico de gallo, queso fresco and a slice of fresh avocado.
Wahoo’s Fish Taco opened in 1988, when brothers Ed, Wing and Mingo combined their love of food and surfing that created a restaurant committed to providing customers with fresh original flavors from Brazil, Mexico and Asia with a north-shore Hawaiian vibe.
