Teen, 15, Rescued At Pirate's Cove In Malibu After Falling Down Cliff

MALIBU (CBSLA.com)  —  A 15-year-old hiker was airlifted to safety Saturday after falling down a cliff in Malibu.

The accident occurred at Pirate's Cove around 4:15 p.m., authorities said.

The unidentified teen reportedly suffered injuries to his head and chest.

Rescue personnel with LA County Fire climbed down to help the victim and lifeguards tried to help him from the ocean.

It was unclear how he fell.

LA County Sheriff's Deputies said on Saturday evening the teen  fell about 30 feet.

The teen was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
