Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 18)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Expect some slight warming inland with a little less marine layer Friday. However, daytime highs will be pretty close to Thursday's.

It should be a decent day with mostly sunny skies. By Saturday, there will be a wave of energy moving through that will increase the threat of a thunderstorm in the mountains and deserts.

A small monsoonal surge will remain in place on Saturday, but by Sunday that threat diminishes again. Temperatures will remain at or just a little below average.

By next week, the ridge of high pressure positioned over the southwest will expand a bit bringing in some decent warming through the middle of next week. Temperatures will eventually reach above the century mark by Wed and Thursday.
