Man Found Dead On South LA Sidewalk
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday were investigating the fatal shooting of a man found dead by firefighters on a South LA sidewalk.
The man was found around midnight in front of a home in the 1400 block of W. 51 Street, near Normandie Avenue, after emergency crews responded to a medical call, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The unidentified victim, who is in his 20s, was shot multiple times.
A gun and a cell phone were found near his body, authorities said.
"Still a tragedy, a young man here dead and we don't know why," said Det. Eric Crosson.
No suspect information was released.
