Police Release Description Of Man Suspected As Sexual Predator In Van Nuys

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Police released surveillance images Wednesday of a man suspected in sexual battery crimes in residential areas of Van Nuys, officials said.

Los Angeles Police Department said the man targets women walking their dogs in residential neighborhoods in the early hours of the morning.

He makes eye contact with the victims as they pass by him, and then proceeds to to pull down their pants and underwear, officials said.

Police describe the man as a white or Hispanic, 20 to 25, with brown or black hair, and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9 and weighs 145-160 pounds, authorities said.

Attacks have been reported around the area bordered by Hatteras Street on the north and Morrison street on the south, and  Halbrent Avenue on the west and Cedros avenue on the east, police said.

Officials describe the man's car as a four-door gray Toyota Camry or Ford Taurus, possibly a late 1990s model.
