GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Crews were called to put out a small brush fire Friday along the 2 Freeway in Glendale and authorities are questioning a man for possible arson.

Firefighters were dispatched around 1 p.m. after drivers called in reports of smoke, California Highway Patrol reported.

By 3 p.m., officials called the fire a total knockdown. They were staying on site to make sure no hot spots or embers flared.

The Glendale Police also said that a man, in his 30s, was being detained and questioned about whether he intentionally set the blaze.

No evacuations were ordered and there were no reported injuries.
