Pedestrian Fatally Struck On 101 Freeway In Tarzana

TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — A 33-year-old man was fatally struck Wednesday morning while walking on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. near White Oak Avenue in Tarzana.

The pedestrian was struck by several vehicles and declared dead at the scene, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities said the Woodland Hills man may have walked to the freeway from another location as no car was found abandoned nearby.

A SigAlert was issued as authorities investigated the accident. It was lifted around 4:45 a.m.
