Placentia Teacher Accused Of Sex Contact With Female Student

PLACENTIA (CBSLA.com) — Detectives on Wednesday arrested a teacher suspected of sexual contact with a female student at Valencia High School in Placentia.

Rebecca Eileen Diebolt, 35, of Brea was also accused of sexual penetration with a person under the age of 18.

Officials said woman contacted the police last week and said she had a sexual relationship with Diebolt from 2004-2008.

In 2004, the woman said, she was 15 and a language arts student of Diebolt's, who also was the school's swim/water polo coach.

The woman told police her relationship with Diebolt started casually and soon become sexual. She also told authorities that sexual encounters took place in Diebolt's classroom as well as her home, after school and on weekends.

Officials said the sexual relationship continued after the woman graduated and began attending college.

Detectives arrested Diebolt as she got out of her car in a shopping center parking lot in the 2500 block of East Imperial Highway in Brea. Diebolt was booked at the Orange County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
