Lockdown Ends At Telfair Elementary In Pacoima Following Reports Of Man With Gun

PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — Telfair Elementary School in Pacoima was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon due to reports of a man with a shotgun in the surrounding neighborhood.

The LAPD received a call about a person with a gun in the 13600 block of Daventry Street at 1:50 p.m., just as school was being dismissed for the day.

One person was taken into custody at a nearby home just before 2:20 p.m., ending the lockdown, police said.

There were no reports of any shots fired, according to KCAL9's Kevin Takumi.

No other details were immediately released.
