Elderly Woman Shot During Home Invasion Robbery In Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A woman in her late 70s was shot during a home invasion robbery Friday night in Beverly Hills.

Three armed masked suspects knocked on the door of a residence in the 400 block of Doheny Road in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood, forced their way in and tied up an elderly couple, according to Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino.

The woman was shot in the leg at some point during the crime.

The suspects then took property and fled.

The man was able to untie himself and called 911, Hoshino said.

Officers arrived on the scene around 8:30 p.m. and the woman was taken to the hospital. Her injuries were listed as non-life threatening.

Authorities immediately established a perimeter.

A SWAT team and K-9 unit joined LAPD officers and L.A. County Sheriff's deputies in searching the area for several hours.

No arrests have yet been made.
