Bear Hit By Vehicle On 101 Freeway In Westlake Village

WESTLAKE VILLAGE (CBSLA.com) — A bear was struck by a vehicle on the northbound 101 Freeway in Ventura County, authorities said Tuesday.

The accident happened around 10:20 p.m. Monday at the Lindero Canyon Boulevard exit in Westlake Village, the California Highway Patrol said.

Los Angeles County Animal Control and Department of Fish and Game were notified.

The condition of the bear was unknown.
