Boss Allegedly Beaten To Death With Hammer By Employeed At Silver Lake Construction Site

SILVER LAKE (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities say a 21-year-old man fatally attacked his former boss with a hammer Thursday at a business in Silver Lake.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead, authorities said.

Authorities initially said the altercation involved the victim, also in his early 20s, and a former co-worker.

The suspect was an employee where the attack took place, according to police. Officials said on Thursday evening that the victim was the suspect's former boss.

The suspect has been taken into custody, officials said.

The attack occurred about 1:45 p.m. in the 4200 block of Burns Avenue, officials said. The site was described as an apartment complex under construction.

Officials did not know what sparked the altercation.
