Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting 17-Year-Old Student, Sentenced To 270 Days

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — A 46-year-old Brea Olinda High School math teacher was sentenced to 270 days in jail after pleading guilty Tuesday to sexually assaulting one of her 17-year-old male students.

Michelle Lynn Johnson of Anaheim will also see five years of formal probation and is required to register as a sex offender throughout her probationary period.

Prosecutors say Johnson befriended the teenage boy and had sex with him several times outside of school, as well as on the Brea campus, between the months of April and June, 2013.

The parents of the victim contacted police after they initially became suspicious of the relationship between Johnson and their son.

Johnson pleaded guilty to three felony counts of oral copulation of a minor, as well as two felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.
