Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 20)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Expect some unsettled weather the next couple of days. An upper level low is dropping south through the state.

Temperatures will run below average for the next few days as the low flounders around Southern California. The low will break up the marine layer, bringing in partly cloudy skies. However, there is enough lift with this system to pull out a few scattered showers for interior sections. There may even be an isolated thunderstorm.

Tuesday should be the coolest of the week, then it will gradually warm up. The low moves out on Friday and we are shaping up for a lovely holiday weekend. Temperatures will warm into the 80s in the basin for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Basin - upper 60s to low 70s

Coast - upper 60s

Valleys - mid 70s

Mtns - upper 40s

Deserts - upper 60s
