Video Going Viral: Cat Saves Little Boy From Vicious Dog Attack In Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD (CBSLA.com)   —  The video is entitled "My Cat Saved My Son."

A little boy is seen slowly riding a bike in front of his home. A dog is seen from another angle circling a parked car.

Without provocation, the dog attacks the young boy and pulls him off the bike and drags him while biting his leg.

Out of nowhere, Tara,  the family cat, races in and chases the dog off.

Uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday, Roger Triantafilo has incredible surveillance footage of the dog attacking his son.

The 57-second video already has 2,191,922 hits by 5 p.m. Wednesday.

"My cat defends my son during a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage," he said on his YouTube page.

A note at the end of the attack video says, "Thankfully, it wasn't worse."

Triantafilo's son has a couple of nasty bite marks on his leg including at least ten stitches on two separate wounds. Triantafilo on YouTube said, "My son is fine."

CNN said the dog is under observation.
